Faith is to perceive that people of the world live in vanity; day in and day out pursuing after earthly fortune, fame and gain, fancying after glory and prosperity. In the end, it is like snatching at shadow and trapping wind. Inn the twinklinh of an eye, all ends in vain. Only those who have accepted salvation, loved, served and lived for the Lord will not have laboured in vain. It is indeed true to say that even if a man were to gain the whole world he could bring nothing into eternity. However, what a man labours in love for the Lord, when the Lord returns, he will surely receive the Lords praises and rewards. In time past, many who succeeded should have but did not accept the Lord and be saved, when reaching twilight years, inevitable lamented that the past is nothing more than a dream and just a wise of smoke. Life is short and an illusion. Given mans certainty to confront death, he often subconsciously trembles with fear and apprehension, not knowing what comes after death. AS the Bible rightly says. "Man lives on earth without hope, without God." Undoubtedly, the true meaning and veracity of life is: to know, to gain and to serve the saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is also the Lord over all things in the universe and the only true God. |
