Faith is to believe. Gods word is spirit and life. Man lives not by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. When believer receive Gods word and by faith, consider and mediate in the heart, it readily enters into the spirit, whereby enjoying heavenly peace and fragrance, and be filled by loves nourishing sweetness. Gods word is out spiritual living milk and food, is also our life journeys lamp and light and is also our spirit highest enjoyment. If we often neglect enjoying Gods word in the spirit in our spiritual journey, it is great loss, for when we enjoy Gods word is paramount for Gods people. We must yearn to read, to hear and to memorize Gods word, to richly store I our heart, and to frequently consider and mediate on the word so as to be intimate with God in fellowship. Thus, its like planting the tree by the stream, bearing fruits in season and the leaves do not wither. In addition, we must guard against Satans deception, tempting us to doubt Gods word, so as to jolt out faith to lose its steadfastness. Hence, we must be vigilant. Let us be steadfast in faith by incessantly mediating on Gods word, living daily in Gods enjoyment, will find living dull and empty, as mans spiritual need cannot be satisfied by materials only. Hence, man lives not by bread alone but by every word that proceed from God. |
