Faith is to believe that piety and contentment will lead to great gain. We have brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can take nothing out either. Lets be content with being provided with food and clothing. Those who covert to be rich and to enjoy life, will be ensnared by temptation and senseless lusts and be trapped by destruction and perdition. How great is the heavenly gain in store for those under grace, continuously pursuing after godliness, exalting the Lord, enjoying God in the Spirit, not perturbed by gain or loss, not mindful of worldly gain, but satisfied with Gods portion. It behooves upon one to trust earnestly that what God has given and portioned for oneself, no one can snatch away, otherwise, even if one were to pursue forcibly, one still labours in vain. In daily living, if we can be sober and self disciplined, slighting frame and gain, hating sins , giving alms gladly, being rich in goodness and, with such godly living, we shall surely inherit promises, both present and that which is to come. Surely God is pleased with one who is rich in spirit, steadfast I faith and never stumbles.
