Faith, though God given, is also the response of a believer knowing God's character. The more a believer hears and sees God's great works, the more his faith is increased which faith begins in faith and ends in faith. Falsehood will never effect faith in oneself. God is able, God is willing and God is, are three facts that constitute the foundation of a believer's true faith. God is pleased with man's faith but condemns a sinner's unbelief. True and unfeigned faith testifies and glorifies God and is not swayed by circumstances. But when faith is feigned and untrue, it will not stand to testing of circumstances, let alone shown forth God's glory. Hence, we must examine and test whether our faith is truthful. We deceive ourselves when we do not possess true faith but presume we do. Someone ever said that the imperceptible faith within, is evidenced by one's apparent conduct (or behavior) that makes faith obvious and as such, one shall surely receive God's bountiful grace and love. One the other hand, if his faith is feigned and not truthful, he is as good as having no faith and shall not receive anything from God. |
