Faith is top believe. God is a God who tests and tries man, (including trying, refining, afflicting trials) but he does not tempt man. Lets take Abrahams case. To test him, God wanted him to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac as burnt offing. AS he feared God and had the faith to let go, not keeping the son for himself, God blessed him greatly. Lets take Jobs case. He was a God fearing upright man, righteous in character and conduct, distancing himself from sin. However, after going through grievous trials, he regarded himself as imperfect to the extent of hating himself and, repented by covering himself with dust and ashes and then prayed for his friends. God turned his suffering around and blessed him twice as much as he had before. Lastly, lets take the Lord Jesus case, being tempted by the devil in the wilderness for forty days, the Lord quoted Gods word many times and gained absolute victory. The devil then retreated. Hence, we must understand clearly that Gods test or trial is profitable to man. However, the devils temptation is to seduce man to sin. Therefore, Gods people must take in Gods word continuously and to keep it in heart, mediating upon it day and night. In this way, wherever and whenever being confronted with the devils temptation, one is not shaken nor stumbled, for Gods word is like precious sword of the Holy Spirit that is able to crush all devils trick. On the other hand, when met with Gods test and trials through circumstances, we should not regard it as misfortunes nor doubt Gods goodness, but to respect and accept with a willing spirit, believing that faith having gone through testing is more precious than gold and spiritual life having gone through trial increases much, allowing God to reward us with more grace and blessings. Lets wish the believers who are amidst trials, will be grace be joyful and not vexed.
