Faith is to believe. Tribulation begets patience, patience begets experience. A believer that has personally gone through tribulation, will through tribulation by faith beget patience and shall be able to endure any impending tribulation. The most difficult tribulation to endure is often when its prolonged. Short and transitory affliction is easier to endure but prolonged and unending affliction is difficult to endure. Time is the greater tester. Being sick, man can still offer up praises but when sickness is prolonged, they grumble. Bible shows us that patience grows out of tribulation and tested faith. However, long suffering is the result of one able to endure steadfastly during long period of affliction and as such, is the criteria for man waiting upon God in fulfilling his promise. Hence, patience is a must for every believer, who cannot do without. Steadfast faith is the pillar that props up patience. Faith without patience cannot last and with patience, faith is consummated. Long suffering shows forth faith. Therefore, tribulation, patience and faith work together, while patience and faith complement each other in laboring, are equally important. |
